Lucrana Simmentals 6th Annual Sale Results 2017

Loading

Very happy to report that this years Lucrana Simmentals Annual on property sale (our 6th) was a resounding success. Pleasingly we saw strong support from previous buyers and a new record high price for a Lucrana Bull. All up 46 Bulls sold on the day into Queensland and Northern New South Wales for a 96% clearance and an average of $7,000.

It was fantastic to see the 2 top priced bulls of the sale going to leading Simmental Studs. Looking back on the sale though we see that 45% of the offering sold for $5,000 or less, which means the sale also provided great value for commercial producers looking for quality bulls for their herds. Many of those bulls went to repeat buyers.

New Stud Record Price

Lot 1 – Lucrana Legend(P), an outstanding sire prospect, sold to the York Family’s Billa Park Simmental Stud at Jackson Queensland for a new Lucrana Stud record price of $32,000. Billa Park Simmental Stud Master Scott York said of the purchase after the sale:

“Legend was a standout at the sale for us and the bull ticked all the boxes including great skin, hair type, softness, mobility, polled head and calm temperament.”
